Baril Bay is a remote fishing outpost camp, accessible only by a 20 mile boat shuttle or a float plane
One of the fastest reproducing lakes in the province, Lac des Mille Lacs encompasses nearly 60,000 acres and is a HUGE breeding ground for many species. You can expect fantastic fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, lake trout, and yellow perch. You also have access to boats or canoes prepositioned on 6 different lakes.
 The Cabins at Baril Bay are all wood frame construction and fully equipped for your housekeeping comfort and convenience. The refrigerators, lights and cooking stoves all run on propane gas. Each cabin is equipped with a large variety of cooking and eating utensils. All cabins have running water. There is a convenient central shower building with a wonderful Finnish Sauna. There is a propane grill and picnic table at each cabin. There is not a Laundromat nearby, so bring your own linens (twin bed sheets), pillowcases, personal towels, dishtowels and dish cloths. We supply the pillows and lots of warm blankets. The Baril Bay camp includes 4 Cabins with the following capacities: Cabin 1 accommodates 10 persons, Cabin 2... 4 persons, Cabin 3...8, and Cabin 4...4 persons. A group of 20 may rent the entire camp.

 CAMP HOSTThe Baril Bay camp has a knowledgeable person on hand to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Our camp host can help you at any time by providing assistance with all aspects of the camp along with fishing locations and techniques.
FISHING EQUIPMENT
We use deep 16' aluminum fishing boat equipped with fuel efficient 4-stroke 15 horsepower motors. We equip each boat with boat seats, life jackets, seat cushions, landing nets, oars, and an anchor. Shore lunch packages can also be provided upon request. Professional guides are not necessary, but available upon advanced notice.
FOOD
We know that good food is a part of any great trip. For fly-in trips, we include a great menu of fresh meats, vegetables, and fruits, along with all the extras needed for preparing meals. We do not pack food for boat-in trips.
