Imagine waking on a soft, comfortable cot in your roomy Wilderness Tent Camp. The morning mist rises slowly off the lake just outside your tent. You hear a fish jumping and see some ripples on the calm, still water.

In a few minutes you're out on the lake in your boat, fishing for breakfast...there's nothing like fresh fillets to start the day. It's beautiful out there, just you and a lake full of fish to be caught.

When you've got some keepers, you head back to your Tent Camp and the enclosed screened-in kitchen with a stringer of fresh fish. You're hungry now, and a hearty breakfast looks good. After breakfast more great fishing awaits. For now, sit back, relax and enjoy...for it's just another day at a Wilderness Outfitters Tent Camp.

Our crew will escort you and your group to the campsite of your choice and set up your wilderness base camp.  You can expect all the comforts of home in our deluxe tent camp, including boat and motor, screened in cook tent, sleeping tents and comfortable sleeping cots, tables, chairs, 3-burner stove, complete fresh food menu, complete cook kit, and canoes on request.

Enjoy the wilderness without "roughing it" in a comfortable tent camp on Basswood Lake or Trout Lake. We offer the best accommodations, service, equipment, and food on a Canoe Country Lake. Each campsite is completely remote from any other campsite to insure your privacy and wilderness experience.

Basswood Lake, Snowbank Lake and Trout Lake, located in the heart of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, are 3 of only 8 lakes that allow the use of motors.

These wilderness lakes are renowned for their excellent fishing and trophy producing capabilities. Both lakes consistently produce trophy Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout, and Crappie. These lakes still hold several state fishing records including pike over 45lbs, walleyes over 16lbs, Smallmouth Bass in excess of 7 lbs., and Lake Trout over 30 lbs.

2008 Deluxe Tent Camp Rates cost per adult

These are per person rates. Children 8 and under free with 2 full adult rates, under 16...save 25% with 2 full adult rates. Outboard motor gas is at current rate.  Upgrade your motor to a 25 hp for $20 per motor/per day.

EXTRA COSTS: Portage Fees for boats ($15.00 each way per boat via Prairie portage, $20.00 each way per boat via Trout Lake portage.) Minnesota Sales Tax of 6.5% on live bait, gas, ice, fishing licenses, permit, camping fees, and boat seats. All rates subject to change.
