Looking for canoe style camping without the paddling? Do you like picking and setting up your own camp? Let Wilderness Outfitters provide you with our Basic Tent Camping Package. We will outfit you with our popular canoe trip package - Deluxe Ultra Lightweight Outfitting less the canoe. You will have your choice of 14’ or 16’ boats. You will be outfitted with 15 hp motors and portage wheels (if you enter on the West end of Basswood Lake). We also supply you with a special fresh food menu and a screened cooking tent.
These trips can only be offered on Basswood Lake (East or West ends) and Trout Lake. BWCA motor permits are highly sought after, so early reservations are recommended.

Anchor, oars, landing nets, minnow buckets, leech lockers, Stearns life jackets, and seat cushions.
Screened in Cook Tent with storm flaps, Cook Kit, Complete Food Fresh Food Supplies, Duluth Style Packs w/padded shoulder straps, Slumberjack Sleeping Bags, Therm-a-rest self inflating mattresses, Eureka Timberline Tents, Tarp, Nylon Rope, Camp Saw, Axe, Rain Poncho (upon request), Gas Stove (upon request), Gas Lantern (upon request), Hot Shower upon return to Ely, Free Parking and Expert, Personal Routing Service (campsites, portages, fishing spots).

These are per person rates. Children 8 and under free with 2 full adult rates, under 16 save 25% with 2 full adult rates. Outboard motor gas is at the current rate. Upgrade your motor to a 25 hp for $20 per motor/per day.
EXTRA COSTS: Portage Fees for boats ($15 each way per boat via Prairie Portage and $20 each way per boat via Trout Lake), Minnesota Sales Tax of 6.5%, live bait, gas, ice, fishing licenses, permit, camping fees and boat seats. All rates subject to change.
