A non-guided hunt is the ultimate test against a wary black bear. You can test your own knowledge and understanding of the animal by doing this trip on your own.
Bait Station plus a Deluxe Tent Camp (Zones 25 & 31)
We place you in a spacious tent camp in a remote area of the Superior National Forest, where active bait stations are nearby and everything is vehicle-accessible. This eight day hunt allows you to test your skills against a very intelligient animal.
We offer the best camping accomodations, service, and equipment. You will have all the comforts of home, but still be camping in the wilderness. Our staff will go with you, set up your camp, show you all the active bear baits, and then upon completion of the hunt, come and take your camp down. We do all the work - you simply hunt, relax, and enjoy.

With hundreds of fresh water lakes surrounding your hunting area, sneaking in some fishing is definitely a possibility. Smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike, and lake trout all flourish in the waters in Ely and provide fantastic fishing opportunities, if time permits.
Grouse Hunting
Since the ruffed grouse is in the peak of their ten year cycle, grouse hunting has been fantastic. Bring a shot gun along and start hunting right from camp.

Bait Station (Zone 25 & 31)
This eight day hunt is in the Superior National Forest outside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, where you will be placed over an active bait station.
- We do the scouting, site preperation, and baiting for you all you need to bring is your equipment, including a stand, and start hunting.
- We provide the bait and prepare the bait buckets for your hunt.
- If you need assistance, we can help you with the tracking, skinning, or the hauling of your trophy animal.
- Cabin rental, motel reservations, or local campsites can be arranged by our professional staff.
